post on when the rock climbing season begins and ends

This blog post was inspired by a conversation I had with a climber partner, of "when does the rock climbing season begin and end?" What do ya'll think?

It begins when we leave the parking lot. It ends when we reach the bar.

Seasons don't end, they just change

For me it ended in December and hoping it starts again this month. Didn't make it outside at all in January. Very sad. It was too cold most days in January, not for me necessarily, but partners.

It ends when the ice forms and I sharpen the tools and pons.

It begins when it becomes silly to spend a day freezing in the mountains when it is sunny and 70 in the foothills.

The season hasn't ended for me yet this Winter. Climbing is cyclic though, even if you are always climbing.

It starts when you are on your first climb ever, and it ends when you die.

It never ends, but July and August are a bit too hot to climb in the sun:)

Cold weather is just a good reason to bundle up, rack up, and learn how to aid climb!

Is this an Aspen Extreme quote? I heard T.J. Burke climbs as well as he skis, and established many FA's on Independence Pass when he wasn't laying pipe with rich locals

i think the season ended when i heard a loud series of pops in my shoulder. i guess it will begin when i actually pull down hard on something and don't scream like a 5 year old girl at a birthday party.

I thought it would end when snowboarding season started but I've climbed more this winter than snowboarded. Gota love Cali I'm going bouldering at the beach this weekend it suppressed to be 70.
