Climbing Saturday in Connecticut

Hey all,
My buddy and I are looking to sport climb somewhere in Connecticut tomorrow (ideally Chatfield). I've been told that there are some skills/gear required for climbing at Chatfield that I don't have (I don't know how to rappel and I don't have any trad gear). We're both very safe climbers, and climb in the 5.10-low 12 range, and we both know how to lead sport, but apparently lowering doesn't work at exactly every route (evidently, not all sport climbing is as simple as it is in Rumney and the Red).

Anyway, we're looking for someone trying to get out on Saturday. We have a 60m rope, 10 draws, belay devices, but not webbing/static rope or trad gear.

Please respond to this message or text me at 3178748601 if interested.

Jon,

You really need to learn how to rappel. That's a basic rock climbing skill. It's time to learn.

I've only been there once but I'm pretty sure you can safely top out the sport routes and walk off. It might be a bold reach to get your draws off the anchors (not recommended).

Anyway, I can't make it to Chatfield this weekend but I'd be down to go 2nd or 3rd week in August and teach you guys how to rappel if you haven't learned by then.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
