Hey fellow climbers, I'm going to be visiting family in McCall, Idaho August 6th-12th. I would love to spend a day or two of that trip climbing. I looked at the climbing and it appears that most of it is multi-pitch. I live in Minnesota, so that isn't really a thing I've ever had an opportunity to do before. If anyone would like to teach me or knows of climbing that isn't multi-pitch, please let me know. It would be awesome do some outdoor climbing while I'm in the mountains!
(I should mention that I have never trad climbed before... I would be open to learning, but I think it would be better to sport climb. I climb 5.9-5.10ish, but I figure it'd be best to climb an easier grade if I'm doing multi-pitch for the first time. I'm not sure... let me know!)
I'm not in McCall when you are, but if want single pitch you can go try this climb mountainproject.com/v/10834…. Take Warren Wagon Road up to the top of the lake and turn right on East Side Drive (There's a campground there) about a mile past the north beach boat ramp. Follow the road about a mile and the cliff face is on the left. Can't miss it.
