There are no bus routes to climbing areas. There are lots of climbs that are a 15 to 30 minute drive south of town, I often rode my bike out there to run some solo laps on sunshine ridge.

I will also be around anchorage until the end of April and looking for climbing partners. I would also love to do the Bomber Traverse if anyone is interested. I have all snow gear, but do not have any climbing gear other than harness, atc, helmet, etc. I am capable of leading sport to mid 5.10's and trad up to the 5.8-5.9 range if someone else has gear. Please email me if interested I am just traveling around so I am available at pretty much anytime. Thanks!
