| By Wink Powell 1 min ago EDIT | DELETE My wife and I just got into climbing about a year ago. We live on the island of Maui in Hawaii. We are having a tough time finding good rock on Maui. We usually go over to Oahu to climb. It would be great to find some good places to climb on Maui without having to fly over to Oahu every time we want to climb. Does anyone out there know of any climbing routes, top roping, etc. on Maui? I've read some old dicussions from 2009 about climbing in Maliko Gulch and top roping in Kaupo but I don't have any specifics. If there is some one out there from Maui that climbs it would be great to hook up with you and do some climbing. Wink | FLAG |

| Wink,I'm stoked that you want to do some climbing here on Maui. Lets do it soon and do a trip report. The place That I know is right on the beach and is good for pretty much a day of short trad leads, top roping, and bouldering. I have been hoping to get back over there with a rope. The last time I was there I was alone so I just bouldered. Wind surfing looks good there as well although I have a feeling that the wind direction is off shore and could be sketchy if a gear failure were to occur. Give me a call my schedule is fairly flexible. | FLAG |
