Hello! I'm from California, and going to be in the Tulsa area 3/31-4/4 if anyone wants to climb! I don't know the area .. but I can lead sport 5.10B and follow 10D, can follow on trad as well, or boulder! I'm down for anything. I have a rope and draws too. Also open to checking out areas further away if there's nothing close by. Post-climbing beers are a must!

Bouldering: Zen Pen & Chandler Park (Tulsa)
Sport & Trad Climbing(3-4 hrs from Tulsa): head east to Arkansas (lots of options)
Horseshoe Canyon Ranch, Sams Throne, Haw Creek, Lake Lincoln, etc...
Lawton, OK(3-4hrs from Tulsa): lots of trad with a few hard sport routes
Altus, OK: Baldy Peak, multi pitch, trad mixed with a few bolts.

Hope this helps. The climbing in Lawton and Altus are pretty serious and hard. The grades in Arkansas tend to be softer (IMO)

Hope this helps.

-Brent

Hey Brent! Thanks for the beta, will definitely check out ZenPen or Chandler, and hopefully make it out to Horseshoe if I can find a partner.

Some Tulsa folks are headed out to Horseshoe for the weekend. It's a community climbing trip through the local gym. Message me if interested. 435 nine zero one 0393

Wichita Wildlife Refuge is awesome if you like good, somewhat stiff trad. I was down there in January and had a great time climbing sweet cracks on some super solid rock! Don't know much about the sport or bouldering down there though, HCR would probably be a better area for that.

Oh, and as a side note, if you can find a copy, the video "Frequent Fliers" has a pretty awesome Tulsa bouldering segment in it.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
