Okay this is a duplicate post, but I am just very eager. Recently there has been a surge in climbing activity near Leh, Ladakh. There are quite a few sport, multipitch and trad routes in the region to be explored.

I shall definitely visit Leh sometime between early July to mid September (flexible dates), and am interested in parnering up or joining a group.

Some resources can be found here:
facebook.com/GraviT.Leh
facebook.com/pages/Internat…

I am a decent sport climber and boulderer, not much trad experience but would like to partner up with a more experienced trad climber to learn.

Chitro,
I was just in Leh this past March and helped train some local guides and set some new routes at Shey Rock. I won't be able to join you but a friend of mine is working there this summer at GraviT. His name is Andrew Monk and his email is andrewsmonk@gmail.com. Tell him Harry gave you his info. He isn't a super strong climber but has already learned and grown a lot, and will hopefully be even smarter and stronger by September. Message me back and I can give you as much info as possible about the area.

Hi, guys. I'm visiting Leh in a month and I would love to get to Shay Rock. I won't have any gear (save for shoes, maybe) and I'll need a guide since I can't lead much more than 5.7. Do you have any idea who I can reach out to? I've written to GraviT and these guys ( highhimalayanadventure.com/…), but I'm hoping to get a couple more names to cover my bases.

Any tips to share?

Suhail runs GraviT and he is an awesome guy and strong climber. He probably has half the FA's at Shey. Another company you might try is Snowbird Himalaya Adventures. They are on Facebook and the guy that runs it, Gulzar is fantastic. It's a blast; you're going to love it.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
