So Im trying to think of a christmas gift for my brother. He has most of what he needs for rock and ice climbing but I am trying to think of something that he does not already have. Something that most people would either not think of buying or is just something that makes life easier when climbing. So what is that one piece of gear that you just love having around but is not essential. Thanks for your thought

A friend gave me the black diamond magnetron. I love that thing for my anchor chain. They are really nice, but one is all you need. And its really just a luxury carabiner.

a #6 cam black diamond or wild country friend or brass off sets because they are expensive and not used very often but often necessary for some climbs

Maybe something that wears out like slings or a rope so even if he doesn't need it now its just a matter of time or possibly a resoling gift card. Or you could really man up and do a first ascent, name it after him, then post it on MP.

If he doesn't already have one, how about an Access Fund membership?

An AAC membership is also a great gift. The best gift I've ever given was a climbing hold mug I got off someone from Etsy.

Maybe a fun Crimp Chimps chalk bag? I've always wanted to have them create a cthulu chalk bucket for me.
