Climbing around Great Basin National Park

I drove through Nevada on Friday (talk about desolate!) and saw a few areas around Great Basin National Park with great rock. But I can't seem to find that much info with regards to climbing in this region.

The first was right in Great Basin, down low. It had a very peculiar resemblance to City of Rocks, but only from a distance. I didn't get a chance to look at it up close (approximately at 38.966779, -114.162224).

The other was on Route 6 en route to Ely (approximately at 39.143127, -114.391875).

From a distance, both places look spectacular. But maybe that's different up close. Does anyone have the good word on these areas?

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
