Hello every one,

I am going to the White Mountains from Tucson and was wondering if there is any decent climbing on the way? I heard about Seneca Falls near the salt river canyon but read that it may be off limits to climbing. Anyone have info on that? Any other suggestions would be awesome!

Thanks!

Seneca Falls rock climbing is prohibited by San Carlos Apache tribe unless you have permission from the recreation commmission. It is a beautiful area and it may open someday but I doubt it.

White river has some climbing, trad basalt, along the river near Postmaster Canyon. It is north of the town of Whiteriver.

I am also looking for climbing near the white mountains. Where is this Postmaster Canyon you speak of?

I really enjoy 5Mile, and if you don't like that then you can drive to Shoens just on the other side of town.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
