Climbing accident/fatality in Los Padres NF

Happened around 2pm today. One climber dead at the scene and another airlifted to Ventura County Medical Center, as reported by the VCFD.

Sounds like The Fortress or Derrydale Cliffs or maybe in Potero John Canyon. All my friends are accounted for but still, this sucks.

Damn. My condolences to the family and friends of the climber who died, and best wishes for a quick recovery to the injured climber.

To the layperson, there is no difference between technical climbing and tourists scrambling around without gear.
I doubt that they were rock climbers at all.
