Climb to Safety
|355 page views|
This fun route starts by climbing 30 feet (5.7) up a small, left-arching corner to a bolt just over a roof. Make 5.9 moves to get established over the roof. Clip a second bolt and follow a thin seam (5.8) to the belay.
This route starts about 100 feet downhill from Alley Cat Street. Rappel 80' from double bolts and rings to the ground.
Standard rack up to a #2 Camalot with thin to finger-sized gear for the seam up high, 2 bolts, 2 bolt rappel anchor with rings.

Dale Haas and I replaced the two protection bolts and two anchor bolts with 3/8"x2.25" SS Powers/Rawl 5-piece bolts. We added quicklinks and rappel rings to the anchors. This work was sponsored by the American Safe Climbing Association (www.safeclimbing.org). They appreciate your support.

Never did this climb before yesterday, but it's a worthwhile climb and the new anchors are awesome!
