Buying my ledge, and looking for advice on the fly. Which one would you prefer the simple or deluxe? What are the pro's and cons of each.

I have had and used both, now I know better and don't do walls that require hauling. Expensive lesson.

The deluxe fly is way more comfortable, it has airvents, windows and doors. Safer in a storm. It's heavier though.

The simple fly is just a nylon sheet around your ledge, feels confining and it traps the air in there, wouldn't wanna fire up my stove inside, so waiting out some bad weather would really suck.

In one way the simple fly is more versatile though, you can hang it on the anchor and clip your ledge on it but keep the fly rolled up like a doughnut round the slings, this way if you're sleeping under the stars and get woken up by a drizzle you can just pull the fly down around you.

With a deluxe fly, you'd have to pick your entire camp apart and start all over to get the fly on, since you have to tilt the bed and put it inside the fly through one of the doors..

Thanks for the advice. Definitely helps with making the decision.. The deluxe fly seems like the way to go, only sucks you have to slide the entire ledge in the door..
