Description

The Clearcut Boulder is located at the start of the talus field leading up to Gong Show Wall. The problems are located on the south, east and north faces of the boulder. The problems on the east face are short and powerful, while the north face problems are longer and more moderate in grade.

The rock quality is good with a variety of holds which makes the problems varied and technical.

The landings on the south need some care, while the east wall has a perfect flat landing.

Getting There

Walk in to the campground and cross the first small stream using the fallen tree at Gong Show Wall. Walk south and cross the larger stream again using a fallen tree.

Once over the river head south (left) and follow the trail close to the river. After about 60 yards you'll see the boulder on your right towards the talus field.
