If you do a search a dig a little you will come up with a lot of information on this website.

I've wiped mine off and just put some metolius cam lube because even after about a year of use they still arent that dirty.

I've read several people say boil some water dip your cams (don't dip your sling) and pull the cam action a little. Let it dry then apply cam lube while working the cam action.

Changing leads.

You will get alot of different responses here, but always follow manufacturer instructions. Just rinse with warm water and then lube. Personally I dip into warm water, open close, open close, let dry then lube. Here is a link. BD Cam Maintenance

+1 for the warm rinse whilst working lobes, warm water/dish soap w/brush, then dry and lube.

It also helps to wipe down with rag beforehand to remove excess dirt.

The boiling thing works quite well.
