Very logical date. Super weak sauce planning the event on the same date as the Beanfest that's been around for about 3 decades. Wow, so let the clash begin...

PS... if you didn't get the sarcasm here go search for the OP's post on fall Beanfest 2012...

It all starts with the OP's quote from 2012 regarding the Beanfest:

Lowell wrote:
Very logical date. Super weak sauce planning the event on the same date as the Cor Boulderfest that's been around for almost a decade. Wow, so let the clash begin...

Then in 2013:
JD Kendall wrote:

Then the OP gets defensive and boasts:

Lowell wrote:
Ok and....? Perfect name for it though. Is it a Comp. division of USA Climbing? Does it lead to Regionals? Who Sponsors it? When is it? Claiming to be a division of USA Climbing. Hmmm. Really? One look at the Southern Mountain USA Climbing schedule shows no sanctioned competitions at City of Rocks, NM that leads to regionals.

usaclimbing.net/regional/regional_news.cfm?region=202

I wonder if these companies even know they're "sponsoring" this event.

Someone who went to his 2011 event had this to say and which I've heard similar things from others in the community:

lococlimber wrote:
Went to COR 2011, drove a long way, didn't see any organized fest, no prizes where given away... had fun anyway. That was a lot promotion for almost nothing. Where did the free gear go? Hope the sponsors are aware of this. Shame. Plus, where is the winners list for the comp. this year? Not hating, just being real... others should know.

In which the OP response is to attack and try to belittle:

Lowell wrote:
"Being real" You made me laugh good. "Winners" ha... Earth to lococlimber: You must of missed the Registration part. Did you Register for the Comp? Did you even click the Registration link? Did you support the program or just want free gear? We were there. I talked to people from all over, just ask the Rangers etc. FACT: I've been doing this for 5 years now. How can you make such a foolish and uneducated claim? I doubt you were even there. How you missed seeing all of us is beyond me? BTW It's people like you who ruin my interest in doing this for the climbing community. I've worked my ass off to help climbers for over 20 years only to hear this crap... Thanks I noticed you just joined yesterday to go out of your way to tell me this. To bad you didn't put the same energy into helping the event be more of a success. Based on this fact you're a coward, shame on you! Mad Rock, La Sportiva and Evolv gave out Shoe Gift Certificates. Which were given to climbers who went to the event and participated. They would get a good laugh as well...Do your homework before uttering such worthless delusions. Sorry you didn't get any free gear. Better luck next year.

In 2012 the OP says he's been doing this comp for "almost a decade" but in 2011 he say's "FACT: I've been doing this for 5 years now." I guess half decade would have been more appropriate. So I wonder who is actually being real?

See ya'll at the beanfest!

Cheers!

Don't worry everyone. Major haters here. I reported all of them to MP. Fake user name. Twisting my words around. All is real. All is official. Video is on www.desertshaman.com

It's funny. These guys are super desperate to fight about some beanfest with me.

Most of the listed sponsors have been helping for many years and locals know it's legit. I'll take more photos this year and post them.

Btw you can see photos of past events at www.desertshaman.com

Also. I never claimed to be Regional. That's only for indoor gyms. Shows the true intelligence of this person.

However since this idiot posted this Registrations doubled.

Cutting down other events is really making these guys look bad in the eyes of the climbing community.

You are just making yourself look like a bigger idiot...

1st - you started the flaming by posting on the Beanfest thread...

2nd - I wasn't trashing your comp just you... for starting crap...

3rd - I wouldn't go to your comp because I don't really boulder much... so go ahead and put me on whatever "list" you want...

So does anyone plan to be out here until Sunday evening? I might try to make a detour by City of Rocks while driving back from Tucson, and then Hueco on Monday. I'm always on the lookout for partners in the region. It would be cool to have someone else to boulder with.
