Description
Chumash Peak (1,257 ft) is the 6th in a chain of 9 volcanic plugs known as the Nine Sisters that stretch from Morro Bay to San Luis Obispo. It lies between Cerro Romauldo (1,306 ft) to the west and Bishop Peak (1,546 ft) to the east. It was named in recognition of the Chumash Indians who once inhabited the area.
