Chopped bolts at Bishop Peak?

Some of the P-Wall comments talk about bolts being chopped recently...

To possibly save a 4 hour drive or ugly surprises on the wall, I'm looking for details on the current status of the bolts the Bishop Peak area as compared to the topos.

Thank you!

Kent,

Visit centralcoastclimbing.com and contact the admin, John Knight. He will have all the current up-to-date info about Bishop Peak. I was on P-Wall last weekend and everything seemed fine. What routes are you talking about? And how recent are these claims?

Kent,
Shadow is fine as of two weeks ago. Like Bryan wrote, contact the kinghtrider as says about it.

Rest assured, all previously chopped bolts have now been replaced with a couple minor exceptions. Restored routes include: "Mouse Maze" on Cracked Wall, "Owls Staircase" on the Owl's Perch, and "J-K Flashback" on Hallucinogen Wall. The exceptions include: "Dark Side" on P-Wall and "Oh My!" on the detached P-Wall Pinnacle. "Dark Side" now "sports" 2 less bolts. It is runout but not a death climb by any means. I have yet to replace the bolts on "Oh My!" because I have been distracted with other new routes. With those couple of minor exceptions, all bolts have been replaced and are in good condition!

If you need more info. on specific routes, send me an e-mail.
