Description

Go to the Northeast corner of Chipeta Hall. Step up onto the sloping red bricks about 4 feet up laybacking off the corner. The crux is turning to the other side. My personal favorite of all the buildering problems in Gunnison. My dad showed me this one. It always seems to give whoever tries it a good laugh. Have fun!

Location

Chipeta Hall is located on the Southwest part of campus.

Hi, James. So you are John's son? For the record, this problem had been done at least a decade before your old man came to WSC. Tell him I said Hi. I loved doing this buildering problem back in my day. Very delicate balance. Thanks for posting up.

I was shown this problem in the spring of '72 by Chuck Tolton and Gunnison legend Charlie Pitts. We spent a whole evening buildering Chipeta, Taylor Hall, the OLD library, and the then "new" library.

Thanks for clearing that up! Must have been different climbing in Gunni back then.

Actually the climbing was pretty much the same.
It was the climbers who were different.
Some were real different.
