If you were really interested, wouldn't you contact CAMP and ask them?

Edit: I just tried going to CAMP's website and couldn't get it to load. Hmmm, again.

I just tried calling a CAMP phone number in Boulder (303-465-9429) and nobody answers. Voice mail identifies it as CAMP, but when I pressed both the customer service and the sales options, no one answered.

These models of CAMP pulleys are Made in Taiwan (the Chinese website also states as such, made to order in boxes of 100), so why does it surprise you?

because you can buy em off ali express ... a place known for not so authentic gear

aliexpress.com/w/wholesale-…

and there have been incidents of fake climbing gear from china as Petzl has warned

grough.co.uk/magazine/2011/…

and finally as someone has noted their website and systems for CAMP usa seem to be down

the collective wisdom of MP always reigns supreme !!!

i missed the part on the chinese link i posted for the pulley stating it was made in taiwan ... perhaps you can take a screenshot of that?

Only the CAMP USA website is down, the rest of the world keeps going round.

When I buy cheap crap from China that steals designs from other companies I stick with ClimbX.

I think somewhat alarming was how all the accessory biners were lumped in with their 'safe' gear. Maybe it's not a mistake, as their safe biners are probably not much stronger than the one I use for my keys.

Don't let someone's life get in the way of making a few bucks.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
