Description
A valley just off the road between the maly and bolshy waterfalls in Chegem, Russia. The narrow valley makes this area shady almost all the time. Winter ICE climbing only on a series of shorter waterfalls (20-30 meters each).
Getting There
Drive from Nalchik through Lechinkay and onwards towards the Chegemsky Vodapady. Once you pass a sign for Maly vodapody (малые водопады) be on the lookout for a narrow valley on the left hand side. Drive slowly until you reach a valley with a frozen waterfall visible from the side of the road. Look carefully! 150 feet of approach with a class 3 (one or two moves) finish. Not difficult and with no dangerous consequences. As far as approaches go, this one is straightforward.
