Description Suggest change

Cheam Peak is the Northern Peak of the Cheam Range and is also the most popular mountain in the Range because it is the easiest. It can be hiked from the Cheam-Lady Col (Class 2) and takes at most 4 hours to complete. However, this peak also has several more difficult roues to the summit. The impressive NW (class 4 winter route) and North (class 4 to 5) faces can be seen from the town of Agassiz and the NE ridge is a class 4. Cheam Peak is made up of the loose and flaky volcanic rock that is common in the Cheam Range and Rock Fall is a hazard on the steeper routes.

Getting There Suggest change

The Northern Flanks of this mountain can be reached directly from HWY#1 but the Southern side must be accessed from the Chipmunk Creek FSR (requires 4WD).
