Description
Though not an Adirondack bouldering destination like MacKenzie Pond or Nine Corners, there is quite a bit to do here. Your best resource would be Justin Sanford's new Adirondack Park Bouldering guidebook
This boulder field, which focuses around the absolutely massive boulder named Goliath, is the location of several designated campsites at the base of the Chapel Pond Slab. So if you're staying a night or two, consider stuffing your pad into your car too, since you'll be there anyway!
Since this is a designated campsite, please be considerate of people staying there, especially if you're climbing in the morning or evening. Pick up and pack out your trash, and maybe do so with anything you find on the ground. The car is quite literally a stone's throw away.
For now this is just the boulder cluster at the base of the Slab, but I suspect there could be more bouldering around the immediate vicinity of Chapel Pond in the future.
