My gf and I are headed to the Alps this summer to do some alpine climbing. We are looking at going to Chamonix, Ailefroide, Zermatt, and the Dolomites. Our goal is to climb the classic peaks of the Alps. While we are there, we will be looking for cheap accommodations. Ideally we would like to couch surf, pitch our tent in private lawns, or bivy in general.
Do you have a place you would like to rent out to us in this area? Or, do you have any ideas on cheap places to stay? thanks

Really, shouldn't you be herding chickens or horses or something?

bump - not finding much info on MP so I thought I'd post up.
Going to be in Zermatt, Chamonix and maybe Interlaken end of August.
Looking for suggestions on crags to visit and long, alpine climbs that don't require extensive snow travel in the 5.easy to 5.7 range.
Aiguille Rogue area looks like a great location for easy alpine climbs.
Also, not sure what gear to bring. Thinking of bringing an alpine rack, plenty of qd's, and either 1 70m 8.9mm rope, or my 60m 8.5mm doubles, or the 70 and one double as a tag. Want to minimize the amount of gear without limiting what we want to climb.
We aren't bringing our boots/crampons/axe so won't be looking for mixed climbs or glacier walks. we may rent that gear for a day or two.
Finally, any input on the climber's dorms, hostels or other cheap places to stay.
