Description
Area contains several different climbing spots Cerro de Hielo (Mountain of Ice), named by first ascensionist Shaun Parent, is located at Mamainse Mountain next to the Carp River in Batchawana Bay. At 594m tall its one of the tallest hills in the Batchawana Highlands. The mountain can be accessed from Km 10 to Km 13 along Carp River Rd. which is not often plowed and may require a snowmobile. Snowshoes or touring skis are advised if making the approach by foot. Climbs here range from WI2+ to WI4+ and vary in size from 8m to 45m in length.
