The Joshua Tree National Park Superintendent's Compendium states that:
1. Vegetation is not allowed to be used as an anchor.
2. Only neutral or rock colored bolt hangers are allowed.

The Area
This is a rather big corridor formed by the so named North and South Formation(s). It is just 100 yards from the large parking lot that serves the Ryan Mountain trailhead and runs pretty much north to south.
Some guidebooks may be a little confusing in the locations/labeling. Probably better to refer to the Bartlett guide for this area
