Across the street (Rte. 133) from the Redrock area is a remarkably secluded bouldering area with a wide variety of terrain, comprising a wide range of difficulties, beautifully shaded by dying hemlocks.
Exit 14 off Route 128. If coming northbound, take a left off the exit ramp and go under the overpass. Park as for Redrock but then load up your pads and head uphill along the road getting weird looks from passing motorists. A few hundred yards from the parking area, cross the street and head into the woods via a faint but visible trail. Take your inventory of the area and start rock climbing.
This arete is located on the back-side of the Fishnet Boulders as you approach from the West (i.e. walking from the Alcove). The problem begins on the right-leaning and overhanging arete using directional pulls and slopey holds. If these West Gloucester blocks were in P-way, people would be waiting in line to get on some of these problems! Here's a vid of a couple Memorial Day sends. One problem is to the left of the SW arete of the Calvary Boulder, and the other is the SDS to Stockholm Syndrome out in the Extensions on the Manatee Boulder.
