With the last few days of cold, I'm starting to look forward to climbing ice this winter and trying to get some partners together. I live in NYC and Northwest CT, and I have ropes, rack, etc. and can use a car about half the time. I would also like to take a few multi-day trips some longer routes in New Hampshire. Anyone interested?

Hello Andrew. I'm looking to get back into climbing. I have done Mt. Baker and some of the spires in the Cascades and have done some multi pitch rock climbing in the Gunks an Dacks. I have also spent a couple days doing ice climbing in the Catskills. I'm considering taking a few climbing classes this month, but would also be up for climbing with other partners. I have tools, cramps, boots and beaners. I live near the Lincoln Tunnel, but may be able to figure out public transit to make it easier to meet up with potential climbing partners.

Andrew and/or Tom

I am looking for an ice climbing partner/partners for this winter. I live in Westchester. I am would like to climb in the Catskills and would be interested in taking a trip to NH to get on some longer routes. I have a dry rope, screws, tools, crampons and transportation. I have a good bit of trad experience, less on ice, but feel ok leading easier stuff. With the cold weather this week I am really looking to get out.

Hey guys. I'm still looking for partners. I'm heading up to New Paltz this Thursday for the Alpine Endeavors Ice Festival. Otherwise, I don't have anything planned, but I'd love to do something over Presidents Day weekend, which is a three day weekend for me. my email is Tomleswing@gmail.com

I have tools, cramps, boots and can build anchors for TR, have no experience leading ice or multi-pitch on ice. If you don't mind helping someone learn the ropes, I have transportation from the Fingerlakes region to Catskills. Feel free to email me at cemcooley@gmail.com

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
