It's not a destination spot like Devil's Tower or Fremont Canyon but it does have easy access and if you are in town it makes a quick easy workout. There is good access to the tops of climbs for good top-rope set up both with pro and with bolts.
The climbable rock is granite of varying qualities.
This is the mountain that overlooks Casper, Wyoming
Off of US 25 take Wyoming Blvd (HWY 258) to Casper Mtn Road.
Kick ass moves. Start matched on the crimp, get to the large sloper in the middle of the boulder and follow the arete to the top. Crux is getting around the nose. Also a little mentally cruxy due to all the broken rocks near the landing... have a good spotter!...[more]Browse More Classics in WY
Hey, I'm in town for a couple weeks. Working Monday thru Friday so a weekend climbing sesh would be sick. I need somebody to show me where these boulders are. A climbing buddy would be awsome. I have a harness if you have a rope to do some sport climbing. I also have a small bouldering pad. I really just don't know the area and I would be stoked to climb with somebody. I hope somebody finds this and hits me up. I'm from California. So please help me go climb. 👍 Justin 909 806 0487
Justin, check out the climbing gym if you haven't already, it's on Beverly st. Mountain Sports is another great place for beta on climbing. I'll be back in Casper this weekend if you want to do some climbing.
There's some sandstone bouldering by the lake that I was going to try and checkout... the more the merrier!
