Description Suggest change

The Candlelight Wall is the large obvious smooth slab above the Whitney Portal Group Campground. There are several crack climbs here.

Wick Line 5.11c is a prominent crack in the center and Green Gecko starts in a clean, obvious left facing corner on the right.

Getting There Suggest change

Approach from Mt. Whitney Family Campground at Whitney Portal. Cross Lone Pine Creek at the bridge southwest end of campground. Once you have crossed the bridge take the steps up and turn left on a faint trail just passed the second large boulder on your left. After about 60 meters veer right for about 100 meters and pass a 10’ tall Boulder with a small pine growing out the top, passing it on its left side. From here, the trail becomes a little more predominant, but really follows a series of Karnes for about a quarter-mile staying to the right side of the talus field.
