Camping near Red Rock Canyon open space

Live in silverthorne co.Looking to climb and hopefuly camp near red rock canyon in colorado springs anyone out there know of any places near by or not to far away to camp?

Cheyenne Mountain State park south of town- fully improved pay sites. Rampart Range road, northwest of town- free if you can find a flat spot inside the national forest. Those are the closest options I can think of. 8th street Wal-Mart parking lot if you have a vehicle that you can sleep in.
