Looking for a good spot to camp in the Black Hills for a couple nights next week. We usually climb in the Rushmore and Sylvan Lake areas. If you're in the area we'd always enjoy new partners.

Wrinkled Rock Campground/TH. It's at Rushmore.

+1 for Wrinkled Rock. You can camp basically wherever you want, not another camper when we were there despite the multitudes of tourists just up the road. Literally a 5 min walk or less to South Seas, Chopping Block just across the street. Did I mention it's free? No fires though.

Wrinkled Rock 'trailhead' dispersed camping.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
