Don Jeff following Dark Side of the Force 7/08


Description 

Climb up giant knobs aiming just left of a left facing dihedral/roof past 6 bolts, the first is a little bit high, but the crux is further up.

Reid's 2006 guide shows this route going left to the same belay as Spaceballs, but it is better to continue straight up to a separate bolt belay.


Location 

This is the first route right of Spaceballs on the north end of the west face. Rappel 90 feet to the ground.


Protection 

6 bolts to a bolted belay / rappel anchor. No gear.

This route description is for a newer route called Megacrystic, Dark Side of the Force is to the right with a higher first bolt (about the level of the second bolt on Megacrystic) and requires some gear. You can traverse from Dark Side of the Force to this route for the anchor.

I don't have my notes, but the FA was around 2005 or 2006 by Bryan Law & George Ridgley.
