The Joshua Tree National Park Superintendent's Compendium states that:
1. Vegetation is not allowed to be used as an anchor.
2. Only neutral or rock colored bolt hangers are allowed.

Description
Climb the obvious crack which widens through a variety of sizes and transitions into a chimney near the top. Belay on top and walk off down slabs on the south face.
A good route with a variety of different sized cracks. The top wide section is not as bad as it looks and is made more secure by staying to the back of the crack.
