Mt. Williamson

Description 

This massive peak to the north of Whitney and Russell, towers above Manzanar.
It is the second highest peak in California.
There are access restrictions. Check with the Ranger Station.

Getting There 

Take Market Street, west from Independence. After 4.4 miles turn left on Foothill Rd. Follow a right fork. Follow signs to "Shepard Pass Trailhead".
Hike to Shepard Pass.
