Description
This is a south-facing cliff that is mostly sunny but can be somewhat shaded late in the day. The views over Cactus Park and looking up into Unaweep are excellent, adding to the fun. The climbing is very good on highly featured rock, though as with all rock in Nine Mile, it can be crumbly in places. These cliffs are taller than those lower in the canyon and offer up longer single pitch routes. Along with the bolted routes, there are many places in this area that can be easily accessed and set up for some top rope action if you're into that sort of thing.
Getting There
Turn into Cactus Park as previously described and continue up the road. After reaching the large parking lot with a BLM toilet on your right, take the first left (north) off the main road. Follow this two track road as it winds through the trees keeping right until you are in a very large open area that is close to the base of the obvious hill. I typically park at a small Sandstone outcrop. From here walk up the hill toward the cliff band at the top and travel right or west along the cliff base until you spot the routes with orange bolt hangers. There is somewhat of a faint trail however it is less than obvious.
