Check out these sweet little cabins next time you plan a trip to Smith Rock. They are close by and offer a discount for climbers and Mt. bikers. A secure storage building is also available to stow any gear during the stay. It's located on the Crooked River Golf Course which is also a cool place to ride, hike, and boulder. Hope this helps those looking for a great place to stay!

Mutt, I also noticed that "rock climbing" was not one of the activities listed. Surprising, since they seem to want climbers' business. Not sure that listing climbing would make much difference, since any climbers going to Smith, um, already know about it, but it seems like they would want to acknowledge our activity.

Before clicking on the thread, all I was thinking was, "Maybe there are some cabins by the golf course". Cool to see that there are.

Muttonface, I'm pretty sure the ideal season at Smith is "not summer". Everything else is great.

Cool, nice to know.

Btw, you seriously need to scale down the images on your website. You have many megabytes jpegs at high resolutions. Scale them down! Your site is essentially inaccessible to users on dial-up-internet.

Google Maps shows the address to be 10 miles away. From the owner, this area is within a subdivision, on the golf course, in the locale of two saloons and a nice restaurant. Pet friendly rooms may be available.

4 cabins - max occupancy 3
1 challette - max occupancy 6

Climber's discount is 10 percent.

The owner, Shawn, was pleasant and independently owns and operates the property.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
