Description Suggest change

This area has a small cliff band, with short routes. There are 6 routes here that are in Uinta Rock, with lots of possibilities for further development. The rock is not the greatest, but not the worst either, and surprisingly quiet for being so close to the road and a campground.

Getting There Suggest change

According to the guidebook, you park at the small parking area at Butterfly Lake, then stay to the right side of the lake until you are across from where you are parked. Then go into a grove of trees and out into another meadow with a small pond. Above you will find a short, steep buttress.

We were at the campground, where you can see the climbs from most of the campsites. We just went from there around the west end of the lake and up through the meadows right to the taulus and the wall.

Either way, it's a 10 minute approach.
