Description

The Burma Road Bouldering area feels a bit like the Reserve, but unfortunately, the problems are not nearly as classic or extensive. These boulders, however, offer a good chance for a quick workout as the approach is simple and the landings are generally good.

Getting There

Drive about halfway down Burma Road, park, and walk east, straight into the woods. You should see the boulders in about five minutes.

While driving you will see a tree on your right that formally had a steel cable around it, the scar still remains. Park there a faint trial will be to your left.

Burma Boudering GPS: N 43'24.031 W089'44.608
This place deserves more attention. There is a handful of good problems and unfortunately they become mossy and dirty due to under use.

Can't remember where I got this beta, maybe rockclimbing.com, but the trail goes off to the east at 1.1 miles past the fork that starts Burma Road off of the South Shore Road.

The fact that this place has got a decent concentration of good problems, and probably the shortest/easiest approach at the lake with the exception of the north shore bouldering makes me wonder why it doesn't see more traffic.

These is a distinct lack of bitching from John about the lack of photos for this place.

Actually there is a decent amount of photos if Chris could move a few of them. First two pics are for Arete right of warm-up V2. Third pick is for Shorty V2. Fifth pic is for sloper problem v4+. Oh and the top picture with Kelsen starting, that one is also the arete right of warm-up v2.

And the second to last picture is Anchorpoint! lol that could be removed :)
