The boulders at Burbage South get the sun even in ...

Description

Burbage South hosts some of the finest climbs on gritstone, and although shorter than its northern neighbour there are a greater number of excellent climbs.

The crag faces north west so there is plenty shade on summer days. The rock is high quality with good friction, and lines are fairly tall.

Getting There

Drive approx 3 miles along the A6187 heading east out of Hathersage. The trail to the crag starts on the left of the road. There is limited parking at the entrance. Alternatively drive on towards the Fox House pub and park up to walk back towards the trail.

From the road walk for 1/4 mile until possible to head up right towards the edge.

The climbs starts 100 feet left of the left end of Northern Quarry.
