It always freaks me out when these things happen to "pros" who have a thousand times the experience of your average joe.

That's why some things are considered "calculated risks", you do the best you can to minimize risk but you can't ever be 100% sure it's going to go exactly the way you planned.

Which is probably also the draw to things like base jumping, head pointing...etc. If we could get the same high from X-box none of us would leave the house.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
