I have a 2wd Toyota Sienna minivan which I'm hoping to take to the Bugs in mid-July. What are the odds it'll make it up the logging road to the parking lot?

You should be fine.

Per env.gov.bc.ca/bcparks/explo…

Access to the park is about 50km of gravel road... A 4x4 is not required but a 2wd with some decent ground clearance is recommended. The last 3km section of the gravel road is rough; low-riding compact vehicles need to go slow to avoid scraping the bottom.

I've driven it in a Mini Cooper without issues. Only the last 2km are rough enough that you have to be really careful in a low clearance vehicle.

IF it hasn't changed in the last few years, in the parking area you will find big sections of chicken wire. Wrap that around your car. It keeps the porcupines from climbing up underneath and eating the wiring.

Are you there now?? I'd like to climb day after tomorrow.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
