Planning on climbing in the Bugs this thursday for a week and have a few questions for any of you in the know. Planning on doing NE ridge bugaboo spire, Pigeon spire, wildflowers, +/- McTech arete. Some conflicting beta on descents: I plan on bringing 2 ropes, will I need 2 ropes? ( I realize doubles are ideal but only have a 9.5 70meter, and 7 mm rap line) Also what about footwear, can I gets away with low top approach shoes, or will want some some light weight boots? (I have crampons to fit both) Are mosquitoes an issue up there, will I need the headnet? thanks!! doug marbarger

One rope is fine for the regular descent of Bugaboo, Crescent, south summit of Snowpatch, and Pigeon, so you can leave your 7mm at home. Hans
