Any experience with the Brooks Range Down Hoody ( climbhigh.com/brooks-range-…)? I currently have a Montbell FrostSmoke Parka (if you remember my fit thread, you know my concerns with that one). My main concern with the BR is the toughness of the material (20D) and the suspicious absence of velcro on the cuffs. Also, any sizing advice for Brooks Range products would be much appreciated as I am trying to determine whether a small would fit me (I am 5'8 130 lbs and have a 36 chest).

i just picked up one of these on TheClymb. Looking forward to testing it out. Check the brooksrange sizing chart on there website for fit. 20D can be durable but you have to take care of it for it to last a while. No on hand feedback as i'm waiting for it to come in the mail

Just got it in the mail. First impression. Fit is boxy but seals tight on the wrists with the elastic cuff. Hood is good. Overall fabric is slick and is definitely ultralight but doesnt look overly delicate relative to other ultralight. I'm 5'10 160 or so and M is a good fit for me with a thermal layer underneath.

hope that helps.
