I broke my clavicle, and healing is taking longer than expected. I am told that I can't even run do to jarring. Do you have any recommendations for exercises I could do to keep me in the best possible climbing shape?

I don't have anything climbing specific but maybe this is an opportunity to cross train? With that said, all I can think of is a wind trainer or stationary bike.

I'm in a similar situation with a nasty AC separation. Forearm exercises with weights and squeeze toys for finger strength. Core is down to crunch/sit-up, and leg lifts, with variations for obliques. Running is out and I hate the stationary bike.

The elliptical machine seems okay, zero impact and even good joint mobility therapy.
Good luck.

I've broken mine 3 times. Finally, on the third break it was so far separated that I now have a plate and a few screws. The bike is the only thing you can really do until fully healed. I was on mine 2 days after surgery, but sneezing would cripple me. Good luck.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
