Description
This area features remote feeling yet easily accessible granite boulders in a secluded wash and atop a steep hillside.
- Keep an eye out for poison oak and rattlesnakes when in the area.
- Remember, pack it in and pack it out!
Getting There
Drive Two Trees Road to the end and park on the right in a small dirt lot with room for about 6 to 8 vehicles; hike up past the driveway of the last house to reach the start of the trail.
When even with the Two Trees Trailhead sign break off to the left onto a gravel road - follow this left fork to reach the boulders; the Two Trees Trail continues straight and then descends to the creek where a bridge crossing provides access to the other side; it is 1.4 miles of mostly uphill but scenic hiking to the eastern Two Trees Trailhead.
Continue on the shady trail for a few minutes until you come to an open area just past the trees, then make a left at a wash.
The boulders are on the hillside to the right of the wash and also straight up the rocky wash and down the backside out of view.
- Approach time is approximately 10-15 minutes.
