So, I am planning on a trip down to Boulder, CO to get some bouldering done first week of March. I'd like to know the conditions if I'll be able to boulder or if the snow will be in the way or any other road/trail restrictions. Its a 10 hour drive from Wisconsin and hopefully it'll be worth it. Advice on where to climb and CAMP would be awesome. I am also looking to hike some trails and camp at RMNP. Let me know people!

March is a little early for alpine season. I don't know what the snow pack is like right now, but my guess is that most of the boulders in RMNP and Mt. Evans will be snowed in. Depending on how hard you're planning on climbing there are a lot of great boulders at lower elevations. Check out the Millennium Boulder, Big Elk Meadows, Flagstaff, Satellite Boulders, Poudre Canyon, and Carter Lake to name a few. I don't know what to tell you when it comes to camping. Camping around Boulder doesn't really exist. You might look into camping at Carter Lake or Camp Dick. Both of which are climbing areas and are around 40-50min from Boulder.

I'm from Madison, WI living out in Boulder. The bouldering is all year round here as long as there isn't snow on the boulders and even then serious boulderers go to cave and roof problems. Hit me up if you want someone to show you around the Boulders in the area. I climb up to v5 for now and hopefully some v6 problems soon. Camping in high altitude at that time might be more intense conditions but if your looking for places around Boulder then you should definetly head to dream canyon. Dream Canyon is great for climbers because there are boulders there and some amazing trad and sport routes!

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
