Bouldering and scrambling in High Sierras

Yes, this is gonna sound stupid, but I'm looking for advice on good bouldering or scrambling areas in the High Sierras.

So you ask why would I boulder or scramble when I've got all those peaks? Primary goal is to introduce a teenage nephew to backpacking and high adventure (during summer). He's not ready for big climbs yet, so I figured we could just boulder or scramble, and I could just recon the area for future climbs.

I'm envisioning a single tent in a large boulder field under huge 14k rock faces, where we won't see the summer crowds! Thx!

The Echo Peaks are nine peaks in Tuolumne that are about three hours from the trailhead. Many of the peaks are easier 2nd , 3rd, class scrambles. You can tag 5 or 6 summits in a day , although some are more insignificant than others ...
