I'm new to leading sport climbs. I'm looking for someone who is comfortable climbing on 5.6, 5.7 and 5.8 either swapping leads or you following, or top-roping when we're trying something more difficult, and looking to move up through the grades throughout the season. If you want to follow and learn how to lead but don't know how to lead-belay, I'm happy to teach you in a gym. Ultimately, my goal is to start to move into trad climbing
I'm also looking for people to climb in the gym with me. Grades are less important there; my skill level is currently reaching into 5.10 (I can climb one 5.10, several 5.10- and lower in a session), and I'm looking to either toprope or swap leads. Again, I can teach lead-belay technique until you feel comfortable getting certified in the gym.
I have a great couple of books of sport climbs in Boulder Canyon we can try to focus on, or we can climb anywhere else in Colorado or surrounding states that take our fancy. Shelf road apparently has well-protected, accessible sport climbs that would be great to try out. I'm hoping for long-term climbing partners, but if you're only here temporarily please still get in touch!
Hey there! What times are you looking to get out? I'll be in class 5 days a week for the rest of May but would love to get out afterwards and do whatever! I'm not picky, easy sport, easy trad, slightly harder sport, it's all good to me. Class ends officially at 5 for me, though I'm hoping we won't run that long every day.
