boulder hopping

I'm looking for places to go boulder hopping in the river rapids where you can go down river and have to let the rapids sweep you away to get to another set of boulders we have lots off places like this back in nc/sc and I'm hoping to find a few out here.

Hey ThatGuyRob,

Colorado & the Rocky Mountain Region is fairly expansive.
I'm sure folks have some suggestions if you care to be more specific on a general area.

For what's it worth, this is a regular activity for me and my mutts.

Near Wolcott maybe? Some of the rapids might be a bit more than you want to swim though.
